Marcus Mitchell Joins Pender & Coward and Expands Family Law Practice
Virginia Beach, Va. – Pender & Coward is pleased to announce that Marcus Mitchell has joined the firm as an attorney focusing his practice on family law, criminal and traffic law and civil litigation matters. He regularly represents clients in divorces, custody and visitation matters, separation agreements, pre-nuptial agreements, post-nuptial agreements, child support matters, spousal support matters, and protective orders. He also has experience handling Child Protective Services appeals, show causes, extraditions, and unlawful detainers. In his criminal and traffic practice, Marcus represents clients in matters involving assault and battery, assault and battery on a family member, as well as reckless driving and speeding tickets.
Marcus currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at Regent University, teaching Mock Trial in the undergraduate program and Trial Practice & Advanced Trial Practice in the law school. He also coaches the law school's national mock trial competition teams.
Prior to joining Pender & Coward, Marcus practiced law at two well-known family law firms before successfully operating his own solo family law practice. He received his Juris Doctor from Regent University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Randolph-Macon College.
