Lang Receives BSA Distinguished Service Award

On March 3, Pender & Coward shareholder Jim Lang was recognized with the Distinguished Service Award at the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) Bayside District Dinner. Jim is the chairman of the Bayside District, which serves more than 2,000 registered Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts in Virginia Beach (north of I-264) and Norfolk. "This is a volunteer led and volunteer staffed organization," says Jim, who was proud to be recognized among 660 dedicated volunteers that serve the group. "The work we do is hard. We are busy with other things. But it is worth it because it produces results."
