Lang Appointed to Leadership Positions of Two Local Organizations

Virginia Beach, Va. – Pender & Coward Attorney James T. Lang has been appointed to District Chair of the Tidewater Council of the Boy Scouts of America (www.tidewaterbsa.com), as well as General Counsel to the Transportation Task Force of Empower Hampton Roads (www.empowerhr.org).

The Boy Scouts of America’s Bayside District serves more than 2,000 registered Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts in parts of Virginia Beach and Norfolk. Lange was first appointed to the Bayside District to chair one of its committees in June 2011. Having been elevated to District Chair, he will preside at Bayside District and act as its representative on the Tidewater Council Executive Board.

Empower Hampton Roads is a volunteer organization that builds relationships across the region and advocates for policies that will break the cycle of poverty and dependence. As part of the Hampton Roads Task Force, Lang will work closely with the Transportation District of Hampton Roads on public transportation issues in Portsmouth, Va.
