Attorney Bob Samuel Honored by City of Chesapeake for 24 Years of Leadership and Service to the Community
Chesapeake, Va. - Attorney Bob Samuel was recognized by the Commissioners of the Chesapeake Redevelopment and Housing Authority ("CRHA") for his public service and leadership of the CRHA over the last 24 years. At the City Council meeting on August 14, 2018, the Commissioners and Mayor thanked Bob for his dedication, achievements, quiet strength and optimism while serving as Commissioner and Chairman and expressed their appreciation for his unyielding devotion to providing affordable housing opportunities and services to the residents of the City of Chesapeake. Bob was specifically recognized for his calm demeanor and steadfast spirit through significant economic, regulatory and personnel changes and major triumphs including the Campostella Square redevelopment, Geneva Square and Oakdale Square rebuild and Schooner Cove green build renovation. Brenda Willis, director of the CRHA and Mayor Rick West presented Bob with a framed certificate of recognition and resolution of gratitude at the City Council meeting.
